First Blog Post

 

On a journey to find myself:

      After months-long procrastination and banging my head because of HTML, CSS, etc., I finally created this blog. Starting this blog was striking off one wish from my bucket list which contains many other insane ideas of mine(a story for another day). Then came another huge problem of what to write in my first blog. I contemplated writing about many different articles from my favorite recipe to the trip that I took at the beginning of this year. But they didn’t seem right to me. After reading many other blogs and going through hundreds of how-to-start articles I’ve decided to write about ME.

        Here lies the biggest problem. I have no clue what to write about me. If someone asks me, -” tell me about yourself ” I don’t have any perfect answer. That's why writing this blog post became the hardest thing for me. I tried brainstorming and everything but I ended up with nothing. I thought why not start with something obvious then everything comes in a flow. And so I started writing with my coffee and Taylor Swift’s Folklore album playing in the background.

      Hello everyone. My name is Rishitha. I’m 21 years old and currently doing my Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering. I love dogs and coffee so much that if I don’t have it I feel depresso and I guess I also have a bad sense of humor. I also love traveling as it is something that makes me immensely happy and capturing that journey and sharing with everyone. Traveling to me is not just about going to a new place and visiting all the popular tourist spots. It’s about the experience you have when you meet new people, learn about different cultures, and get out of your comfort zone and consequently face those challenges. How I wish I could make traveling my career!! I’m the kind of person who you think is very quiet but once you get to know me you’ll realize how crazy I am. You could say I'm a bit of simplicity mixed with complexity. That’s all I got right now. Not much, I know. That’s one of the many reasons for starting this blog so that I could know more about myself.

      This blog is going to be a travel journal of my life so I could look back in the future to all the memories I made and how I’ve grown as an individual. I want this blog to be a place where I can share little things in my life and about the things that I love and hate. Welcome to - “The World of Ri ”.
